Sentimental Sunday

Meet Susan (center) and family. Mom, Lilly on her right and dear daughter, Monica, to Susan's left.

Photobucket

Sunday was a special day since it's been a little while since the whole family has had a chance to get together.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Lilly and her sister, Betty.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Okay, yeah and Molly, Susan's precious dog. Well she is part of the family, come on now!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Enter "H". She's Lilly's grandchild and Susan's niece.

Photobucket

You see "H" is from out of town visiting this week with her Mom. Sunday was a special day to spend time with the whole family and get some nice portraits from me, the photog.

Photobucket

Hmm, not gonna happen exactly how we all thought.

Photobucket

"H" had an entirely different photo shoot in mind this day. I think she's been watching Amereica's Funniest Home Videos in her spare time and was determined to to do the equivalent for still photos. Did I mention she's 3 years old??

Photobucket

So...plan B was to start working on the cooperative members of the family. Hee hee.

Meet "H's" mom, Brandy.
Photobucket

Aww, Molly (come on, say it with me: Awwwww Molleeeee).

Photobucket

Of course Susan and hubby, Roy, were ready for their close ups.

Photobucket

With the clock running down, we resorted to relaxing with a little art therapy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

By this time they were having so much fun I was ready to put my camera down and join them.

Photobucket

But I'm nothing if not persistent and I was able to get a few of that beautiful face close up.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Update 05-23-09! Brandy and "H" were able to come into the studio for a few more shots. We had a great time!

Photobucket

"H" had more fun looking for my cats than getting serious about posing, but she came through for me!

The Best Birthday Party Ever!

Oh how I love event shooting. Here we have another birthday party thrown by the queen of theme birthday party ideas, Tonya R.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Okay, so yeah, it seems like the typical 10 year old's party now....but just wait. You haven't seen anything yet.

Photobucket

Knowing how to look good just comes naturally to this little group.

Photobucket

Photobucket

If you haven't already guessed, this is a glamor shots theme party.

Photobucket

And who better to style hair and put on make-up than our own Miss Tonya?

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Miss E was not to be out done even though her idea of a prom type dress was basically just her every day attire. (Although loading herself down with bangles and bobbles went a long way in maximizing her chic-ness).

Photobucket

Some of the younger set decided that accessorizing (with restraint) was the only way to go.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Stunning!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Absolutely amazing!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Cover girls for sure!

Photobucket

And I'll leave you with the birthday girl herself.

Farmer's Market Wedding OKC

Farmer's Market is an amazing building in down town Oklahoma City that has been around for 80 years. It just happens to be the venue for this weeks wedding!

Photobucket

Ashley made a stunning bride!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Of course Jake is no slouch himself.
Photobucket

In fact all the guys were happy to accommodate me for photos!
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

As you can see, even the little ones were gearing up for a serious shooting session. Yeah, I was their new best friend and they could not do enough for me. Hee hee.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Guys, they make these events long just so I can get the all the photos.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Are their rings not fabulous?!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Aww, first dance.
Photobucket

Photobucket

Father/daughter dance.
Photobucket

Toasting the happy couple!

Photobucket

Photobucket

It's official! (Doesn't the minister look like a young Robert Goulet?!)

Photobucket

Okay, we're going to jump to the end here. (Psst, sparklers and muggy weather don't mix....just in case ya didn't know.)

Photobucket

Holy smokes! Finally!
Photobucket

Making the exit.

I Heart the Details!

It all starts with the youngest at the wedding. These two lovely ladies were the flower girls.

Photobucket

This girl was the "veteran" with something like 3 or 4 other nuptials under her flower studded belt.

Photobucket

Photobucket

The groom's details.

Photobucket

He was a bit camera shy, so I moved on to one of my other favorite things....(macro)

Photobucket

These rings were GORGEOUS!

Photobucket

My two favorite kids of the day.

Photobucket

Ceremony begins...
Photobucket

This girl was one of the happiest brides I've seen in a long time. Made my job super easy!

Photobucket

Of course not everyone was listening to the preacher!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Her bouquet was very unique. Blue hydrangeas and other assorted spring flowers.

Photobucket

Of course they were too beautiful to pass up shooting again here with one of the bride's maids.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Have you tried cake balls yet? They are highly addictive! (But in a good way).

Photobucket

Photobucket

Father and daughter dance.

Photobucket

The lovely couple had a beautiful reception! I can't wait to know what they think of their photos!

04-10-09 Good Friday Was Great!

Meet Shannon and Josh. This is a fun couple I've known for a few years. They tied the knot about a month ago and asked me to shoot their big reception.

Photobucket

Preparations at the salon. Shannon did her flower girl's hair.

Photobucket

"A" is gorgeous and was very into her look!

Photobucket
"L" was okay with things for a while.

Photobucket

Photobucket

A bit of cajoling, a lollipop....

Photobucket

and a good magazine and she was back on board.

Photobucket

Girls, didn't you know, the magazines are the best part of the salon?

Photobucket

All these ladies looked fabulous.

Photobucket

Her maid of honor, Ashley, is ready for her close up.

Photobucket

Moore and Company's hair and make up artist is the best.

Photobucket

Their rings.
Photobucket

The cake.

Photobucket

My favorite flowers...the gerbera daisy.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Thank goodness the weather cooperated and friends and family came from all over for this happy get together!

The lucky recipient of the bouquet toss!

April Senior 2009

"J" is the first senior guy for 2009 for Sky Photography. We started out in the studio.

Some dressy.

Photobucket

But some casual too.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Did I mention he's on the track team? But he's no slouch when it comes to school work (check out the academic emblem).

Photobucket

So yeah, this guy has everything: good looks, brains and a lot of charm.

Photobucket

Not to mention a lot of patience to put up with my silly banter while we were shooting!

I could hardly contain my excitement when we happened upon this open (and empty) train car and probably reminded him a dozen times about "what a photographer's coup" this was. Yeah, I'm a nerd.
